• Dr. Reddy was elected to the "Fellow, Crop Science Society of America, 2006".
  
• Dr. Reddy was elected to the "Fellow, American Society of Agronomy, 2005".
  
• Dr. Reddy received the "Alumni Award for Excellence" from his Alammater , Sri Venkateswara University College Alumni Association, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, India, 2005.
  
• Dr. Reddy received the "Career Award in Research, Southern Branch of the American Society of Agronomy - 2004".
  
• Dr. Reddy received the "Outstanding Agricultural Scientist Award, Association of Agricultural Scientists of Indian Origin, 2004".
  
• Dr. Reddy's group's reserach received the "Most Outstanding Journal Publication Science Award, Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station", Mississippi State University, Mississippi State, MS, USA, November 2002.
  
• Dr. Reddy and his coauthors received the "Certificate of Excellence Award for Developing Outstanding Agronomic Educational Material - American Society of agronomy, Madison, WI, 2000".

• Shardendu K. Singh (Ph. D), received First Place, Graduate Student Poster Competition-Crops for his presentation on “Screening cowpea cultivars to multiple abiotic stresses” at the Southern Branch of the American Society of Agronomy Annual Meetings, Feb 3-7, 2007, Mobile, AL.
  
• Satyasai Kumar Matcha, received Second Place, Graduate Student Poster Competition-Crops, for his presentation on “Effects of nitrogen deficiency on plant growth, leaf photosynthesis, and hyper spectral reflectance properties in castor (Ricinus communis ) at the Southern Branch of the American Society of Agronomy Annual Meetings, Feb 3-7, 2007 , Mobile, AL.
  
• Shardendu K. Singh Graduate Student (Ph. D) received Honorable mention for Outstanding Poster Presentation in the Minorities student competition, American Society of Agronomy Annual Meetings, The ASA-CSSA-SSSA International Annual Meetings, 12 - 16 November 2006, Indianapolis, IN, USA.
